Ali MacGraw
Ali MacGraw (Elizabeth Alice MacGraw) is an American animal rights activist, author also a model, actor and author. Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus '69 and The Getaway 72 are among her most famous movies. The daughter of an artistic family in New York she wished to pursue a career in the field of arts. She began working as a photographer's assistant, and after that she moved on to modeling and acting. The award she received was her Golden Globe Award, for most promising newcomer. MacGraw's 1970 film Love Story proved a major smash and brought her world notoriety, as well as the Academy Award' nomination and a Golden Globe award. Within just three short films she was the highest-rated female box office star across the globe. Her footprints, handwritten in 1972 and signatures were recorded at the Grauman's Chinese Theater. She was a part of several other films including The Getaway Convoy Players and the miniseries on TV The Winds of War among others. Moving Pictures, her 1991 autobiography, came out. MacGraw was married three times.
