Cecily Legler Strong has been a popular American actor, comedian and cast member for 'Saturday Night Live. After taking an improv class at the age of nine She began her career as an actor. It was her initial intention to become an actor, but she soon realized that her passion was comedy. She then shifted to doing Improv. Her professional career started aboard a cruise vessel, singing with the other performers of Second City Conservatory & iO Chicago. Strong continued to appear at prominent events, such as Chicago Sketch Fest, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, New York Sketchfest and Virgin Daiquiri, the female-only improv troupe. She made it big in 2012 when she joined 'Saturday Night Live' in the 39th Season, as a star cast member co-anchoring on the Weekend Update segment first with Seth Meyers and later with Colin Jost. Her most memorable performance was in the role of "The girl you wish you hadn't started an argument with at a party'. The year before she also began her film career with the release of a short movie titled "How to Fund an Uterus'. She has a strong opinion against the portrayal of women in showbiz in a way that makes them appear as bikini-models or friends, rather than as powerful character in mainstream films.
